Establishing warehouse at Hareid

In the fall, Teige Gruppen announced that they will establish a head office in the center of Hareid after purchasing the "old bank" in Strandgata. Now they are also moving their warehouse to Hareid, after entering into a five-year lease agreement with Holstad Eiendomsutvikling for the lease of approximately 2,000 square meters of warehouse facilities.
Westing AS and Zewo Chemicals As are companies in Teige Gruppen that make up their trading segment and operate sales and distribution of marine and industrial paints, industrial detergents, water treatment and hygiene solutions. The companies have experienced significant growth in recent years, and are now gearing up for further growth and streamlined warehousing:
- Increasing activity and growth have created a need for more and larger space. In recent years, we have had to operate several warehouse locations in Herøy, so co-locating at Hareid will definitely give us better resource utilization and more efficient operations. Hareid has a central location in the maritime cluster, and this gives us advantages such as simplified logistics and great opportunities for future growth and recruitment, says Westing CEO, Agathe Teige Eiksund.
Purchasing and logistics manager at Teige Gruppen, Dan Espen Sande, is also looking forward to the move and increased warehouse capacity:
- We are really looking forward to this! With the new warehouse, we will be able to increase our storage capacity and optimize our logistics processes. This marks a significant milestone for Teige Gruppen!
He further explains that the moving process will begin just over the summer and he envisions the new warehouse at Hareid being operational by September:
"We will ensure a seamless and smooth transition. This will be a strategically located warehouse that will ensure fast and efficient delivery," says Sande.
The company will also immediately start recruiting warehouse personnel. Sande hopes for exciting candidates who want to join an exciting journey and contribute to efficient and smooth warehouse operations:
- We have worked a lot on professionalizing our warehouse in recent years, and have, among other things, implemented a new warehouse management system that automates and optimizes our warehouse processes. Now we hope that more people will become part of a team that enjoys working with development and focuses on maintaining a high level of service, says Sande.
Work on the renovation of the new head office in the center of Hareid will begin shortly, and the plan is to have the premises renovated by the end of the year. The building will be completely renovated internally, and will also undergo an extensive upgrade externally.
