Glimpses from the year 2025.
Another eventful year is coming to an end, and slowly but surely we are moving towards the quieter rhythm of Christmas. On the last Friday before Christmas, we gathered colleagues from Westing, Zewo and Kaston for the annual Christmas lunch in the cafeteria - a nice tradition that gives us the opportunity to lower our shoulders, feel the Christmas spirit and experience the good fellowship surrounded by great colleagues and friends. After many decades at the Westinghuset in Eggesbønes, this was actually the very last Christmas lunch for Teige Gruppen's employees here at Westinghuset. We have simply outgrown Eggesbøvegen 22 and are now taking the community with us to Hareid. The renovation project will be completed in February, and we are looking forward to moving in and writing a new chapter in the long Westing history.

When we look back on 2025, it has been another year of high pace, a lot of activity, restructuring, changes and important choices. We are all aware of the turmoil in the world around us and in the market, but Westing stands firm and continues to deliver, grow and invest. For another year, we look set to land on a turnover of over NOK 100 million, which is on par with last year, and it is another strong year in which we deliver well on both the top and bottom lines. The development in recent years has given us a solid foundation, and 2025 confirms that we are able to maintain robustness even when the market is changing. We withstand economic cycles well thanks to our broad product portfolio, deliveries to a variety of segments in the maritime industry, and solid professional expertise combined with flexibility. We are very proud of the team and our dedicated employees, who go the extra mile every day to fulfill our customer promises and put the customer first in every situation.
During 2025, we have also taken several major strategic steps. We have launched a dedicated focus on deck coatings, which are products developed with the challenges associated with deck coatings in demanding environments in mind. With solid insight, market knowledge and experience from the field, Westing has been a driving force behind the establishment of Tricent – a new brand and a separate company within Teige Gruppen where Westing is responsible for technical advice, project follow-up and distribution of the products.

Another highlight and strategic move is the relocation of the warehouse to Hareid, which was completed in October. This marked the start of a new era for Westing with modern facilities with scalability, efficient transport lines and proximity to the maritime cluster. The relocation was carried out with impressive precision and minimal downtime – a result of structure, good preparation and a dedicated team that really stands together. In February, we will gather strength even more when the head office is also relocated to Hareid. The investment gives us both a modern working environment and a broader scope for recruitment, which is absolutely crucial in a time when the battle for professionals and wise minds is noticeable. We want to be present where the expertise is found, and at the same time offer a strong professional environment and good development opportunities for those who become part of us.
At Westing, we are incredibly grateful to all our customers who continue to trust us, and to our partners who contribute to our community and development. It is the combination of talented people and good relationships that allows us to grow and deliver smarter, faster and better year after year. We are passionate about development and progress, and are working on a lot of exciting projects that will streamline processes, digitize the customer interface and further ensure higher precision and high customer satisfaction.
