Today, the Teige Group, Westing and Zewo marked an important milestone with the official opening of their new warehouse in Hareid. - We could have chosen the simple solution and placed the warehouse far away to save on paper. Instead, we have chosen Hareid – because short-distance logistics provide faster deliveries, better control and local jobs. It is right for our customers, for our team and people and for the region. With this warehouse we get better capacity, more efficient operations and a solid foundation for further growth, says CEO Sigurd Teige.

Teige emphasizes that the initiative is about more than just warehouse space. The proximity to the maritime cluster provides precision and speed, while the co-location at Hareid ensures better flow throughout the value chain and smarter use of resources. Shorter distances mean greener transport and more local ripple effects – to the benefit of both the environment and our people.

Mayor Bernt Brandal congratulated the Teige Group on its establishment and highlighted its importance for the local community:

- This means a lot to the Teige Group, but also a lot to Hareid. The old Ekornes premises in Isakdalen have been given new life: a modern, efficient and future-oriented warehouse that is already in full operation. It's not just about pallets, liters and tons, but about people, jobs and faith in the future. Congratulations on this day – and good luck with your continued operations!
