Further growth and establishment of a new logistics company

Press release - 23.06.25

Growth continues for Westing, which can point to another sales record and a good financial year for 2024. At the same time, it is aggressively investing in a new head office and warehouse in Hareid and establishing its own company for the logistics function - Teige Service & Logistikk.

Westing AS has experienced significant and sustained growth in recent years, and has consolidated its position as one of Norway's leading players in marine and industrial coatings. From 2021 to 2024, the company has increased its turnover by approximately 70%. The growth also includes subsidiaries in Denmark and Poland.

In 2024, Westing reached a total turnover of NOK 107.3 million, up from NOK 101.3 million in 2023. This is a continuation of a growth curve that started in earnest in 2021, and which has lifted the company above the 100 million mark in turnover:

- We are naturally proud of the development and the trust we experience from our customers. Not least, we see that we are succeeding with our focus on proximity, competence and flexibility. It is inspiring to be part of such a dedicated and developing team and environment, says CEO of Westing, Agathe Teige Eiksund.

After the summer, Westing will move its warehouse operations to new premises in Hareid, where they will be co-located with sister company Zewo. The old Ekornes factory will eventually become a new warehouse for several growing companies within the Teige Gruppen group. The group expects a turnover in the trading segment this year of approximately NOK 160 million.

As part of this development, the company Teige Service & Logistikk has been established to provide joint warehousing and support functions. The company will become a subsidiary of Kaston AS and will be part of the Teige Group. Former logistics manager at Westing, Dan Espen Sande, has now been appointed as general manager of the newly established company and is looking forward to taking on the task of building an efficient and future-oriented logistics organization:

- This is primarily about setting up for further growth and expansion. We want to sharpen our service around warehousing and logistics and ensure a flexible and efficient supply service. We are in an exciting phase with both moving warehouses and introducing systems to rationalize operations and increase the degree of automation. The goal is to create a more efficient and future-oriented logistics structure that provides better overview, faster handling and higher precision in deliveries, says Dan Espen Sande.

Sande says that they will also hire several new employees who can contribute with expertise, commitment and new perspectives. This applies to both operational roles in warehouse operations and strategic positions within logistics planning and system development:

- With a strengthened team and modern solutions in place, we are well equipped to meet future demands and expectations, and to deliver even better services to our customers, states the new CEO of Teige Service & Logistikk.

Managing Director of Teige Service & Logistikk, Dan Espen Sande, is looking forward to establishing operations at Hareid.
