Westing supplies paint for Norled's new ferries

Westing is proud to be the paint supplier for Norled's four new ferries, which will be built at the Tersan shipyard in Turkey and completed at Havyard Leirvik. The ferries were designed by LMG Marin in Bergen and will enter service on the Stokkevågen–Lovund and Stokkevågen–Træna routes from 2027.

This project is part of Norled's ambitious sustainability strategy, and the ferries will be among the most energy-efficient in the country. With a battery capacity of 8,000 kWh per vessel, these will be the largest battery ferries in Norway. Each ferry will have space for 60 cars and 250 passengers, and will measure 84.5 meters in length and 15 meters in width.

Westing is pleased to contribute to Norled's commitment to modern and environmentally friendly solutions. Among the products chosen is the most environmentally friendly antifouling on the market – Intersleek 1100SR. This antifouling is completely free of toxins and is designed to prevent fouling and reduce fuel consumption. Read more about Intersleek1100SR here.

Thank you to Norled and Tersan Havyard for the trust.

We look forward to a good and future-oriented cooperation.
