Intershield 163 Inerta 160 A two-component, high-solids, low-VOC epoxy coating, developed for high abrasion resistance and use on ice-going vessels. The coating has low ice adhesion and low friction resistance. Developed for operation at temperatures down to −50°C.
For corrosion protection of underwater areas on ice-going vessels, including icebreakers. The coating contributes to maximum efficiency in icebreaking and reduced friction, as well as controlling fuel consumption through reduced hull roughness. Can also be used in areas with anode protection, and is suitable for use with controlled cathodic protection. Suitable for use in new builds, as well as for maintenance and repair.
